JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director, Human Resource Strategy plays a critical role in the research and application of key trends related to human capital, the implementation of metrics to assist HR and the business to make data-driven decisions, and the development of workforce analysis tools and reports to support HR long-range planning. Working directly with the DVP, Strategy, Communications and Portal, as well as Divisional, Functional and Global HR leads, the Director:

1) Leads the team in conducting organizational research and in-depth analytics (internal and external) on business issues in divisions and countries, with impact on workforce strategy and/or decision making.

2) Supports HR partners and business executives and leaders outside of HR with data reporting and analysis. To be successful, the Director partners with Human Resources leaders to develop and communicate workforce trends, strategic people priorities, metrics and HR implications, based on the business strategies and overarching trends.

3) Oversees and monitors HR’s system of record reporting needs and usage across the enterprise.

Acting as the primary source of HR Analytics, the Director will identify key trends (i.e., world employment trends, demographics, etc) as well as the latest and best thinking on HR best practices. Research also includes design, implementation and strategic analysis of employee opinion surveys. The Director will leverage research in strategy development as well as share the learnings and implications across Human Resources.

The director will strategically challenge leadership across HR to consider issues holistically and make evidence-based decisions about human capital. This position also leads a metrics organization that determines and implements the most efficient and effective way to measure human capital globally. The Director will develop methods to communicate metrics and actions.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Via consulting, facilitation, stakeholder management, sponsorship, and monitoring, this position ensures the development and execution of enterprise-wide HR metrics and workforce planning and reporting. Establishes a process to ensure knowledge of leading HR trends and research, as well as communication and consultation on the impact of those trends and research. Provides for and oversees on-going improvements to the processes used to develop and implement HR strategies, long-range plans and global human capital metrics. Leads a global team of in delivering research and analytics expertise to HR.

Basic Qualifications:

Strong consulting and facilitation skills. 10+ years experience in developing strategy in a Fortune 500 company. Analytic thinking and ability to articulate how key trends may impact or inform internal direction and programs. Strong influencing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Human Capital Strategy. Strong manager and leader.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in workforce analytics, external labor market trends. Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology preferred.
