JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function:

The Project and Portfolio Services Group partners with HR Practice Centers, Business HR, and users of HR systems and processes to implement new projects, or changes to existing processes and systems. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for working with all necessary parties including project teams and users to ensure successful execution and implementation of HR projects globally.

In addition, leads team to identify, and prioritize projects for HR portfolio. Assesses resource capacity, alignment, risk, and budgetary impacts of portfolio investments. Responsible for direct management of Portfolio Analyst responsible for assisting team in processing SOWs, POs, Invoices, and roll up of portfolio LBE (latest best estimates).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy and tools to understand requirements and set priorities. - Work with the project teams, to make sure the programs meet requirements and critical success factors for each project.

  • Manages/directs the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects with a focus on any or several non-IT business applications and disciplines.

  • Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.

  • Work with project teams on an ongoing basis to ensure successful delivery of core requirements and drive adoption through stakeholder management and project team influence.

  • Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.

  • Responsible for change management and user experience including training, communications, stakeholder management, and technology.

  • Responsible driving and validating adoption.

  • Develop cross-functional relationships with critical business partners.

  • Establish road map recommendations.

Additional responsibilities of a Portfolio Manager:

  • Resource Capacity Planning

  • RCE creation, tracking and audit

  • Direct Management

  • Development of business case

  • Phase 0 ideation and planning

Accountability / Scope / Budget:

Sr. Manager will report to the Program Chair and work with project teams to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of HR Projects globally.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's required.

  • Prefer degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or similar discipline.

  • Minimum 7 years of Project Management experience.

Additional Capabilities:

  • Ideal candidate must be an interpolative thinker with strong problem solving skills.

  • Proven ability to strategically plan and deliver project or product outcomes.

  • Capable of integrating various initiatives to define one user experience for entire program.

  • Proven ability to lead using relationship building, negotiation, and partnering skills.

  • Strong analytic ability including ability to identify, collect, and analyze data sets to develop recommendations and requirements.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
