An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Territory Manager to support our expanding Vascular Division as a Sales and Clinical Specialist. The successful candidate will cover the WA territory, along with one other Sales Representative in the area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a wide range of devices to Interventional Cardiologists including Drug Eluting Stents, Fractional Flow Reserve (Pressure Wire), Optical Coherence Tomography & Interventional Guide Wires.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your main responsibilities are:

  • Sell and support the full range of Abbott Interventional Cardiology products to customers in WA

  • Build strong customer relationships with clinicians, Nurse Unit Managers and Procurement personnel in your accounts

  • Meet customer clinical support, education and in-service requirements as agreed with your Manager and be available to respond to customers during business hours.

  • Maintain level of professional interest and knowledge in field of expertise thereby acting a resource for Sales and Marketing eg. monitor market trends and competitor activity within.

  • Complete and submit timely administration tasks such as customer record keeping (CM), monthly highlights, expenses etc in line with divisional standards.

  • Manage samples, demo devices, promotional & phone budgets as per your plan spreadsheet to ensure expenses budget is contained.

  • Ensure that Company strategies are correctly and uniformly implemented

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients

  • Maintain close relationships with key accounts, and ensure their requirements are being met by the company's products where possible. Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements

  • Comply with reporting requirements on time as required

  • Act as a resource and assist with training of the Abbott sales team as requested by Sales and Marketing management.

  • Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with Company image, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.

  • Attendance at Abbott Sales Conferences may be required from time to time.

In addition to the above, the successful applicant will have:

  • Extensive sales experience preferably in medical devices or alternatively hospital sales experience in pharmaceutical

  • Strong background in account and relationship management

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Business, Science, Nursing or Medical Science or similar

  • Sales and negotiations skills and a passion for achieving results

  • Experience in providing Clinical Training (Preferred)

  • Experience working in a Catheterisation Lab preferred

  • Excellent communication skills are essential.

  • Ability to work in a theatre environment
