An exciting new opportunity at Abbott Nutrition, has been created for a team of enthusiastic and experienced Pharmacy Sales Representative positions and we're looking for top-notch sales professionals to drive our rapidly growing Nutrition portfolio in the retail Pharmacy channel. This new team will be responsible for contributing significant growth to the existing business.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, these positions are responsible for managing the assigned territory and executing sales action plans, delivering sales objectives, growing Abbott's sales at pharmacy, focusing on the priority products, and developing a sustainable pharmacist's and pharmacy assistant's preferences for Abbott, whilst taking into account the commercial strategy for the Abbott Nutrition Division.

These positions are available Australia wide - North NSW, South NSW, North VIC, South VIC, WA, SA and QLD.

In addition to the above, the main aspects of this role include:

  • Building one's knowledge and understanding of the customers in the territory

  • Developing a strong network in the territory, ensuring that all key influencers are frequently visited with management

  • Share best practices and insights internally, with management and sales and marketing counterparts

  • Develop a routing system that optimizes coverage and frequency to consistently achieve call metrics

  • Develop a thorough business plan for the most strategic pharmacies

  • Set SMART objectives for each visit, regarding sell-in and sell-out actions.

  • Use commercial policy and value proposition to determine strategy and tactics to maximize customers' growth and commitments towards Abbott

  • Execute store-checks, check stock levels and follow-up sell-out data at each visit.

  • Understand accurately pharmacist's needs and expectations, opportunities and threats for Abbott, competition's practices

  • Customize approach to customers when relevant and properly execute programs.

The relevant experience and knowledge/education is required:

  • Knowledge of the retail Pharmacy landscape, key players, their needs and expectations

  • Demonstrated experience in high level sales and negotiation across a varied customer base with strong close of business and maintenance of accounts

  • Computer Literacy

  • Selling Skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent is preferred

  • 5+ years of sales experience and at least 3+ year sales experience in the pharmacy retail sales that involved working closely with customers to deliver results

  • Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare (OTC), Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and/or Retail preferred. Good understanding of Trade marketing activities

  • Strong presentation skills - Consultative selling skills – Negotiation skills

  • Highly driven person with a strong motivation to build a career with Abbott Nutrition within and outside of Australia
