JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Commercial Data Management Lead Manager is to partner across US Commercial to develop and oversee a comprehensive commercial data strategy, planning, and governance program that ensures adherence to operating principles and policies. This role is responsible for defining and continuously improving the commercial data core, as well as providing advice on the development of future data and an analytics services road map that aligns to business objectives and

This role will collaborate across key functions within U.S. Commercial (i.e. Field Sales, Channel Marketing, Market Access, etc.) as well as other key corporate functions including but not limited to: Compliance, HR, Global and Procurement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internal and Field Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on business objectives and the action plan to achieve them

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate a strategic approach to achieve business objectives by asking strategic questions, aligning resources, developing an action plan, and evaluating action plan results

  • Analytics: Maintain subject matter expertise with sales data sources and tools, and applies this expertise to deliver high quality data and actionable insights to achieve business objectives. Experience with data and analytics planning, data acquisition, data processes, data governance, data policies and data requirements gathering are strong desired.

  • Process: Consistently implements all operations protocols, procedures, and standards in a timely manner

  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s performance, actively collaborate within and beyond the team to design and ensure buy-in around solutions

  • Leadership: Support an environment of candor; takes accountability

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and/or related field. MBA Preferred 5-7 years’ work experience in related field (i.e. pharmaceutical, insurance, managed care) is preferred. Expertise in healthcare industry sales is a plus. Must have technical aptitude to include expert level Excel or Access skills and broad-based awareness of other analytical tools. Deep understanding of medical-related data sources and how they are used, including but not limited to sales, customer, patient, plan/payer, claims, etc. Demonstrated proficiency in modeling tools like trend analysis and optimization. Technical Competency: Communicating and presenting: Develops business oriented results with appropriate level to detail, keeps the right people informed. Proven record of handling complex analyses
