Abbott Product Manager CRM, EMEA in Belgium : Building Figueras Da Vinci Laan, United States

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Product Manager CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) is responsible for management of the international CRM franchise within the EMEA region, focusing on the area of Traditional CRM, which means cardiac pacemakers, implantable defibrillators ICDs) and ICM (Intra Cardiac Monitoring), with related applications and services like for example Remote Monitoring applications and systems.

The position will act as a key interface between EMEA customers, local and regional sales teams and the Global Marketing team.

In addition the person would be responsible for the development of marketing and business plans including the coordination of tactical marketing activities in order to establish, enhance or distinguish Abbott products and therapies within the Cardiac Rhythm Management market.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Works in partnership with CRM sales leadership and the global marketing team to lead the development of integrated marketing business plans for assigned products. This includes:

  • Development of product or therapy-specific commercial strategies including product positioning, pricing, and forecasting.

  • Defining target markets and appropriate customer segments to achieve commercial expectations

  • Identifying (and creating where appropriate) marketing & sales collateral

  • Conducting sales and/or product training

  • Develop appropriate strategies and plans in order to monitor and respond to changes in the market place, competitors, and performance versus objectives by major geography.

  • Track success of assigned products including metrics, strengths, gaps, strategies, etc.

  • Manage key metrics to identify product penetration in key countries

  • Provide analyses that highlight sales opportunities, trends and issues

  • Partner with sales management to secure necessary alignment with sales teams

  • Plan and prepare product launches in cooperation with the global marketing team and facilitate implementation throughout the EMEA countries

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders

  • Contribute toward the development of an annual departmental budget by forecasting future needs, utilizing previous year’s budget, current objectives and budget guidelines.

  • Execute geography Quarterly Plan of Action meetings including strategy and content development, meeting coordination and implementation tracking

  • Manage portfolio rationalization including phase-in/phase-out across the various geographies

  • Support and guide planning for key congresses including messaging and focus

  • 30% global travel is required predominantly within Europe but occasion travel to the USA and other markets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BSN/BAN/BS or equivalent university degree/s

  • 6+ years work experience in the medical device industry

  • 6+ years in marketing and/or equivalent applicable experience such as sales

  • Strong individual self-starter who has ability to develop and execute on plans

  • Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills required

  • Skilled in use of spreadsheet, database and presentation software

  • Work effectively in a complex, multi-tasking environment

  • Strong influence management skills—effectively influences a wide variety geographies/cultures and functions including regulatory, sales, marketing, research and manufacturing

  • Excellent communication skills—has frequent contact with key opinion leaders and broad customer contact as well as interfaces with senior-level management from cross functional groups and geographies to facilitate strategic decisions.

  • Strong team player—ability to work as a key member of the Global and Local Marketing Teams.

  • Strong leadership skills—ability to function as the marketing “lead” on high profile projects across EMEA

  • Project management skills—ability to manage complex projects and programs. Ability to pull the appropriate functional and geographic functions together to support initiatives.

  • Product launch experience including early phase product development input through to sales execution

  • Excellent communication skills—has frequent contact with key opinion leaders and broad customer contact as well as interfaces with senior-level management from cross functional groups and geographies to facilitate strategic decisions.

  • Strong team player—ability to work as a key member of the Global and Local Marketing Teams.

  • Project management skills—ability to manage complex projects and programs.

  • Product launch experience including early phase product development input through to sales execution
