Abbott Latam Business Intelligence & Analytics BRM Director in Bogota, Colombia

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The BRM is the main vehicle to:

  • Understand business strategies (functional & geographic), current and future required business capabilities. Identifying gaps and opportunities for value creation. (3yrs)

  • Understand market/technology trends.

  • Development of roadmaps containing sequencing of IT solution to facilitate the achievement of the business strategies. (3yrs)

  • Identify standardization of processes and support solutions.

  • Work with the business function/geography and IT Corporate functions to develop the different project business cases and value realization processes.

  • Facilitate the understanding and support the buy in of the Functional Roadmap to the key stakeholders in the function/geography.

  • Asses, align, filter and propose the country requirements to the regional forums in agreement with the functional/geographic VPs.

  • Ensure proper and regular communication of the status of solutions and services for the specific function/geography.

  • Identify and control IT functional/geography costs

  • Assess with the support of Security Officer organization and 3rd parties the current and future risk profile of the function/geography.

  • Ensure that organization has the capabilities and resources required to support the specific business function/geography.

  • Foster required behaviours within IT communities

  • Ensure execution of management routines

Education

Bachelor’s degree with focus on IT and/or functional process areas. Postgraduate studies in IT or process of scope areas.

15+ years on IS Management experience or 10+ years of experience in functional process of scope areas

Experience needed

  • Strong knowledge in mass consumption good sector/food and beverage industry.

  • The BRM needs to have subject matter expertise in both the business and technology. As such, it is not possible for the BRM position to be an entry-level position. Rather, this position requires the ability to understand the business sufficiently to communicate the importance of projects to the technology teams, as well as to understand the technology sufficiently to communicate the complexity in simple terms for the business.

  • Detailed knowledge of IS Management and Strategies

  • Broad and deep knowledge in one or more functional process areas.

  • Good communication, logical thinking, decision making and problem solving abilities, and good leadership and management skills.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all management levels

  • Strong ability to collaborate with senior leadership, senior technologists and project managers to define business process issues, analyze operational efficiencies, implement creative solutions and measure delivery results

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to effectively express complex technical concepts

  • Business experience that includes working closely with IS in the development and implementation of medium to large-scale integrated systems

  • Strong knowledge in strategic IS planning.

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other IS teams and leadership.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the strategic use of process improvements and IS as an enabler of business initiatives and business solutions.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.

  • Outstanding English skills.

  • 10+years of experience within area
