Position Summary

The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for managing and executing advertising and promotion programs and projects to effectively support commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives for assigned product(s). Additional responsibilities include business analysis, financial analysis, budget tracking, project management and communicating brand promotion programs to Field Sales.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create and implement marketing programs to support a designated product line.

  • Design and execute advertising and promotion plans.

  • Develop and maintain marketing and sales aid/promotional materials for Field Sales to effectively promote and sell the product.

  • Manage and implement promotional materials to establish product branding and messaging.

  • Assist in the execution of national product education, publication and promotional activities to effectively communicate the strategic positioning and life-cycle development of products to customers.

  • Lead cross functional project teams focused on execution of programs, initiatives and/or strategies.

  • Track and analyze advertising, promotion, and gratis budget expenditures.

  • Analyze and report periodic financial performance including sales revenue and profit margin.

  • Manage and coordinate internal marketing research and market claims testing and data analysis including use of retail data services such as Neilson.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Research to obtain and assess research and/or survey data.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.

  • These groups include external customers and consumers, Field Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Logistics, Public Affairs, Marketing and Executive Management and external vendors or agencies.


  • Incumbent is accountable for supporting and executing strategic and tactical objectives associated with driving product sales including P&L.

  • Product line dimensions and scope vary.

  • Actions and decisions can affect attainment of product line financial goals and objectives.


  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing.

  • MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and long term developmental opportunities.

  • 1-3 years of Marketing product/brand management experience in either health care/OTC marketing; or consumer packaged goods marketing; or a combination of the two.

  • Intermediate to advanced level PC skills to include Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated success in project management

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills including business and financial analysis.
