Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

The Sr. Analyst, Voice of Customer, with guidance from Manager, Digital Analytics - designs, implements and analyzes secondary data using Voice of Customer tools to perform functions ranging from simple data aggregation to complex text-mapping, trend analysis, and data visualization to present findings and recommendations to key internal stakeholders.

The Sr. Analyst has experience with both quantitative and qualitative methodology, and acts to guide the development and optimization of marketing programs and content.

The Sr. Analyst assures the quality and action ability of analysis by becoming knowledgeable of brand(s) supported. They represent the voice of the customer in order to drive development of effective marketing programs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES ( Execute VoC Analytics from Inception through Results Presentation)

With guidance from Manager, Digital Analytics, designs, manages, analyzes, and communicates findings in response to defined business goals or marketing needs.

  • Analyze qualitative and some quantitative data to create clear and compelling reports that drive action

  • Work with UX and social teams to provide input to content and design recommendations that convey both conceptual analysis and quantitative findings

  • Maintain VoC reporting and presentation schedule

  • Provide data-driven recommendations from recurring VoC analysis

  • Identify needs for future analysis and VoC reporting improvements

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders – social media, consumer relations, CRM, UX and Creative teams

  • Understand the connection between business operations and reporting to support marketing, campaign strategies and solutions

  • Collaborate with IT as needed to facilitate data capture and input to VoC solution. Ensure quality and consistency of all data to be analyzed

Under guidance of Manager, Digital Analytics provides impactful insights that contribute to shaping brand and marketing outcomes

  • Consistently represents the voice of the customer/consumer among internal partners to ensure the customer/consumer is always top-of-mind

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, oral and written communication skills

  • Identifies opportunities to provide feedback on strategies and tactics through supporting VoC data and analysis

  • Recommends additional research/analysis to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics as required

Engagement with Internal Partners

Maintain high level of engagement with internal partners

  • Engages cross-functional partners during the design, implementation and analysis of VoC data and creation of dashboards, reports and visualizations

  • Develops strong team-based relationships with internal partners

  • Provides superior client service to internal partners, while ensuring complete objectivity and superior standards of reporting and analysis

Reporting & Analytics Process

Utilizes a standardized process for conducting and disseminating reporting & analysis that includes all key stakeholders

  • Employs a consistent process for disseminating information to internal partners that ensures cross-pollination between agency brand teams, and eliminates project redundancy across cross-functional groups

  • Demonstrates continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, developing a sense of urgency, and evolving the overall VoC program

  • Displays good management of internal and external resources

  • Displays fiscal responsibility by spending within the scope of the budget, while showing full utilization of allocated monies.


This position interacts primarily with Commercial Services, Business Unit Brand Managers, IT and eCommerce as it relates to discussions concerning the brand(s) supported.


A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or other degree acceptable with previous analytics experience

Background: Sr. Analyst Market Research

Must have 4+ years of experience working directly with data, analytics and visualization tools to provide valuable insights Previous experience in analyzing consumer behavior/feedback Excellent project management skills - must be detail oriented Self-motivated, curious and thorough Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo or others, a plus Excellent communication and presentation skills Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities from prior work environments Demonstrated general business acumen from prior work environments Prior experience with social media listening and/ or digital analytics platforms a plus

Accountability / Scope / Budget

Analysis implications and recommendations could have a major impact on product innovation, marketing, financial expectations, timing, etc. The position has some degree of freedom and autonomy. Sound decision-making and excellent communication skills are critical due to the highly technical nature of this position. The position is open to the candidate who is creative, curious and wants to develop skills needed to be influential in setting strategic objectives with internal partners. This area has no direct budget responsibilities.
