Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

The ANI Global Marketing Associate will be responsible for designing, creating, and implementing marketing initiatives to support the growth and expansion of Abbott’s Nutrition International brands. This position will contribute to the development and delivery of “best in class” marketing programs, materials and communications for all brand initiatives targeted to HCPs and consumers. Partnering with the brand team marketing lead, this position will:

  • Develop global brand assets : assist in developing effective marketing materials and initiatives to strengthen brand messages and activation. Output could include, but not limited to: global launch packages, sales aids, objection handlers, videos, illustrations, newsletters, publications and websites.

  • Design and implement core brand initiatives to support regional activation : partnering with the brand leads, design and execute core initiatives to strengthen the global brand priorities and activation. Output could include, but not limited to: HCP and consumer websites, brand rooms, KOL database, best practices share & re-apply.

  • Develop HCP educational programs and materials : working with the brand team leads, Medical Affairs and designated KOLs, help develop best-in-class HCP/KOL educational programs & materials for key markets.

  • International Congress Support : Develop strategic congress and other medical education/conference plans for the year, develop work plan, manage project within allocated budget and implement with excellence.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing global marketing materials and initiatives to support regional activation

  • Lead and execute select international congresses

  • Manage external partners (KOLs/HCPs, consultants, agencies, congress organizers) for flawless delivery of agreed-upon output

  • Partner with internal partners for best-in-class execution (Affiliate, Area and Central marketing, various R&D functions, Legal and OEC, Regulatory, etc.)

  • Manage allocated project-specific marketing budgets

Congress Management:

  • Develop annual congress strategy by working with the Brand marketing managers, R&D, Scientific & Medical Affairs)

  • Present overview and draft work plans and gain alignment from internal stakeholders, and subsequently provide clear and comprehensive update to ensure continued engagement and alignment

  • Manage budget and agency relationships to execute congress programs flawlessly

  • Develop program effectiveness assessment measures by working with other brand teams as well as Area/Affiliate marketing members

  • At the conclusion of each congress, issue summary documents and provide a “package” to share with Affiliates, including newsletters, videotaped contents, slide sets, etc.


  • BS / BA in Marketing, Management, or Business required. MBA preferred.
