To support Abbott Diabetes Care's EMEA Region North business, we have an exciting professional career development opportunity for a Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner to join our regional head office in Maidenhead.

Your main role will be providing financial planning, control, stewardship and support to the Austria and Switzerland diabetes care business ensuring all commercial activities and objectives are maximised and delivered.

This will involve working closely with the country leadership teams in Austria and Switzerland to lead the demand planning function and the delivery of the monthly S&OP process, and to provide key business intelligence to the divisional Senior Management team.

Specific duties will include:

  • Tracking and monitoring actual sales and margin performance, preparing commentary and taking timely action to address variances;

  • Managing and controlling department expenses, and ensuring that month end process and accounting entries are accurately reflected;

  • Preparing Plan, Update, LBEs and LRP forecasts, including reviewing and critically assessing assumptions for reasonableness;

  • Providing proactive analytical and commercial support to the Business Unit Director;

  • Supporting the financial management of business critical KPIs such as contract tenders, pricing and parallel imports;

  • Leading the S&OP process for Austria and Switzerland, with direct management of the demand planning function;

  • Managing the demand process for Austria & Switzerland;

  • Participating in divisional initiatives for enhancement of business process and financial effectiveness;

  • Monitoring, implementing and managing controls within the business to ensure compliance with company policies;

  • Supporting the region north management team by monitoring and reporting KPIs.

This is a high-profile role with a high degree of visibility up to Regional Director and Divisional Vice-President level.

The Austria and Switzerland businesses for Abbott Diabetes Care have delivered impressive growth over the last 1-2 years, and we are looking for a highly talented finance professional to join the team to support our ambitious growth plans for the future.

With substantial experience and expertise in FP&A and demand management, you will need to be an excellent communicator, able to develop very strong working relationships with the country management teams (although German language skills are not essential), and have a proactive and adaptable approach to help you to deliver to the highest stakeholder expectations and make the most of this high-profile career development opportunity.
