Abbott Area Market Insights Manager in Mexico City, Mexico


Core Job Responsibilities

  • Develop base brand messaging that is consistent with global brand strategy : Adapt the Global consumer segmentation & architecture for Adult and Pediatric nutrition to the Latin America markets working closely with Marketing and R&D. Develop insights and testing methods that lead to strong base brand messaging in key markets.

  • Plot a road-map for growth for Adult and Pediatric nutrition growth identifying business drivers and opportunities and challenges in the consumer and market landscape

  • Developing appropriate testing methods to validate the strength of the innovation pipeline and propositions – this would include putting clear testing and analysis plans on concepts, advertising testing and other communication elements and assessing size of prize of our propositions.

  • Develop strong brand tracking and market sensing plans : advertising effectiveness, equity and holistic proposition ( pricing, packaging, concept, product use, etc).

  • Design a Marketing ROI improvement plan for key brands : Leveraging different MROI tools to assess the effectiveness of investment and make choices.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

No direct reports. Management of external vendor suppliers.

Position Accountability / Scope

-Individual contributor covering all products in Latin America area. Manage projects within allocated budget amounts.

-Regular contact with directors and manager level within Abbott Nutrition marketing and marketing insights.

-External vendor relationship management.

Minimum Education

-Bachelors degree , MBA preferred

Minimum Experience/Training Required

  • 6+ years experience in FMCG marketing / insights function, management consulting or research agency

  • Knowledge of primary research tools, e.g. segmentation, brand equity health check

  • Expertise in consumer research design ( qualitative and quantitative), primary research analysis, modeling, secondary research & bringing knowledge to life

  • Preferably from México, Colombia or USA-Chicago Area

  • English Fluency required. Spanish Fluency Desired.
