JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a high caliber, Senior Quality Technician. This position is responsible for managing the ICS (Internal Customer Signal) process and providing quality technical support within new product development, manufacturing, or system/services support.

Impact this role will have on Abbott:

  • Log incoming ICSs, coordinate ownership with the respective manufacturing quality groups, and track progress through closure.

  • Perform final product inspections against specification and procedural requirements

  • Complete final product quality release transactions

  • Document nonconformance’s as appropriate and assist in the investigation and resolution of nonconformance’s

  • Initiate related documentation changes

  • Collect data, summarize, analyze, perform basic statistical analysis on, and document test results

  • Assist with or perform Gage R&R studies

  • Create and maintain control plans/ quality plans for products and processes

  • Assist in writing, executing, and documenting equipment, product, process, and test method verifications, qualifications, and validations

Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further Abbott’s marketplace success:

  • High School degree

  • 5 + years’ experience

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Previous experience in assisting with validations & qualifications, Gage R&R, test methods, and NCMR dispositioning

  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, FDA regulations, ISO 13485 and applicable worldwide regulatory requirements

  • Experience with optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure and force gage testing

  • Training in print reading and experience with sampling techniques

  • Good communication and computer skills, including data analysis and report writing skills

Your preferred qualifications and education:

  • 2 year technical degree

  • Prior medical device experience

  • ASQ CQT certification or equivalent
