Job Summary

Category Management Leadership Modules Field Sales Ready Presentations Category Management Analytical Tools.

Main Responsibilities

Work with Integrated Marketing and Brand to define consumer / shopper research needs and incorporate the research into Field Sales ready insights.

Work with field based Category Development Managers to prioritize category management activities and desired results.

In addition, support customer – specific category management special projects as needed.

Design, develop and maintain the category management presentations, processes, tools and resources necessary for Ross to attain a leadership position with customers.

Serve as dedicated analytical resource for tactical category management execution.


Operates independently under general management direction; work is only reviewed to determine if desired results and objectives have been achieved.

Works within the framework of established policies, procedures and guidelines.

Plans and leads projects within a category management specialty; analyzes results, prepares and presents recommendations to management Projects are varied and can be complex; may refer to established precedents and policies to develop solutions to problems; use of innovative thinking is required.

Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations typically result in considerable expenditure of resources and a delay in moving the business forward.

Frequent inter-and intra-divisional collaborations; represents area as a prime contact on projects or business processes.


Bachelor’s degree required.

Business degree preferred to deliver business building ideas to RPD Sales Forces and Customers.

3-5 years’ related experience beyond the degree.
