Abbott Territory Manager - Nutrition (New Brunswick, Moncton/Fredericton and Prince Edward Island) in New Brunswick, Canada


Under the supervision and coaching of the RSM, the Territory Manager will be responsible for detailing adult and pediatric products to Hospital & Community based HCP (GP’s, RN, RD).

Territory: New Brunswick (Moncton/Fredericton) and Prince Edward Island

  • Maximizes usage of samples and sampling to drive recommendation and trial

  • Enters pre and post call details in (correct use of all screens and tabs)

  • Is responsible for keeping calendar up to date

  • Is responsible for all pre-post call analysis (keeping up to date for all contacts and hospital tabs)

  • Performs analysis of KPI’s to ensure that all territory trends are accounted for. Provides updated territory business plan to RSM on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Provides monthly reports to RSM (expenses, group sell update)

  • Updates territory business plan (budgets, plan of actions for key customers, key list assessment vs call average and results analysis, etc)

  • Prepares and presents territory business review (or “POAs”) to RSM including upcoming contracts (discussion on profitability and ROI)

  • Keeps key HCP list up to date


  • BSc business, marketing or science, background in nutrition an asset with RD title a strong asset

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience

  • Relevant formal education in nutrition

  • Advanced English, written and spoken

  • French written and spoken an asset

  • Basic knowledge of computer software like MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Lotus notes and the Internet.

  • Registered dietitian’s title an asset

  • Strong selling skills and will possess strong territory management skills (use of, pre-post call plans, maintenance of key HCP list, etc.)

  • Very good computer skills in Outlook, Internet and Microsoft suite as well as

  • Strong Abbott Nutrition product knowledge and will have gained good understanding of resource allocation abilities (management of med-ed budgets, business plan write up, business language and acumen etc.)

  • Ability to write his/her territory business plan in an independent fashion and ensure proper analysis of territory KPI’s (dashboard usage)

  • Ability to demonstrate good presentations skills to deliver influential message in order to maximize retention and recommendation

  • Ability to demonstrate good negotiation skills to maximize ROI and will be able to complete appropriate sections of an RFP response with minimal guidance (RSM supported)

  • Abilities to conduct territorial or regional special projects and will contribute strongly to the growth of his/her team.

  • A minimum overall rating of Achieve expectations (AE) will need to be maintained

  • Candidates should live within the vicinity of the territory, Moncton/Fredericton
