Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Understand and comply with applicable EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable manufacturing procedures.

  • In collaboration with the Test Lab and barcoding team, maximize quality, efficiency and throughput for the barcoding process.

  • Operate, monitor and achieve production goals for the bar code in feeder, label application and final packaging segments of the bar code process

  • Set up, operate and monitor barcoding machines and processes in compliance with documented procedures. Continuously monitor the process for jams, equipment disruptions, etc. and address issues immediately.

  • Measure process cycle time and determine root cause if not at optimum speed.

  • Monitor buffers in front of the bottleneck process to ensure they are full at all times.

  • Meet, or exceed, operational performance goals such as line speed, efficiency, cartridges per hour, downtime, compliance, yield and output.

  • Carry out various testing protocols during down times in the bar code process.

  • Support uptime activities for the test factory.

  • Perform procedures as outlined in the job training code, including process monitoring and reacting according to documented procedures. Follow ELN/TCNs attached to builds or experiments.

  • Support Operator training and development, as necessary.

  • Request assistance from the Lead Hand or Equipment Technicians when it appears that the process will be down for an excessive amount of time or is not running at standard.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and legible record keeping in compliance with procedures and abiding by GMP standards and practies

  • Demonstrate compliant safety techniques and maintain a tidy, organized and clean workspace in support of 5s.

  • Safeguard the environment and facilitate a safe and healthy workplace culture.

  • Other miscellaneous duties as may be required.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma, or equivalent experience

Typically requires 1+ years of relevant work experience.

Experience in manufacturing in a regulated environment is an asset.

Ability to plan, organize and prioritize own daily work to meet established

schedule.

Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.

Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.

Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications.

Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display

socially and professionally appropriate behavior.

Ability to work independently and in groups.

Knowledge of manufacturing within a regulated, cGMP environment.

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Shift: Nights D Shift, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 6:30pm to 6:30am
