Abbott Point of Care has a new opening for Supply Chain Analyst. The Analyst will be responsible for translating demand and inventory strategies/targets into effective supply plans. He or she will manage production plans that span multiple plants. Incumbent will be required to coordinate with Franchise management, Manufacturing Operations and other planners to resolve plant scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints. Important strategic and tactical issues will require elevation to S&OP and the Intermediate Supply Planner will be responsible to put scenarios together and present these to management. This individual will review and conduct analysis of distribution center and manufacturing inventories to ensure optimization as well as support the division inventory objectives. He or she will be responsible for a set of Key Performance Indicators and root because analysis is expected if the result deviates from the agreed upon goal.

Main Responsibilities

The Intermediate Supply Planner translates demand and inventory strategies into viable and realistic supply plans. Overall day to day responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate supply/logistics projects

  • Supply Chain demand and supply analysis, inventory projection and reduction model

  • Create and maintain valid 24 month replenishment plan for assigned families to conform to the business strategy, the financial plans, the capacity constraints, and target inventory levels.

  • Maintain internal and external customer service levels for finished goods.

  • Identify, resolve and communicate low/or excess obsolete stock position.

  • Develop proposed replenishment plans in support of Plan and Update packages.

  • Apply data accuracy methodology and tools available to sustain accuracy in every field and process used.

Education and experience

Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of related work experience with a complete understanding of Supply Chain. Equivalent work experience could be from Materials Management, Manufacturing, Planning, or combined experience. Experience working in TPM sourcing environment is required. APICS certification preferred. Strong Supply Chain analytical skills, project management/coordination experience is highly preferred. Ability to coordinate projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Experience with purchasing data analysis or RFP preferred. Experience using MRP tools, Excel, Power Point is required. Strong collaborator and analytical thinker is required. Ability to travel 10% is necessary.
