Abbott Sales Training Manager in Remote, United Kingdom
•In conjunction with Commercial Excellence Director define EMEA Training & Development vision & strategy aligned with regional requirements, marketing strategy & business objectives
•Lead, develop & drive Training, Development projects & innovative training solutions, promote and communicate all training department activities & ensure continuous knowledge transfer & sharing within the entire region
•Improve our commercial employee’s knowledge, competencies & skills in order to enhance Abbott Vascular’s reputation amongst external key stakeholders.
•Ensure strategic planning, learning needs analysis, program design and blended delivery, accelerate learning methodology
•Implement/ develop an innovative E-learning & E-sharing infrastructure and transfer relevant product training to web based methodology, resulting in minimizing employee off-road impact.
•Ensure constant knowledge transfer on new product information within the region resulting in the successful launches to agreed timelines and expectations
•Design, deliver and manage all learning ranging from initial training, including quality, regulatory & compliance for marketing and sales; as well as ongoing product, system, and continuous improvement initiatives for country execution
•Report, monitor & analyze Training & Development impact on business, customer & assess execution excellence
•Ensure compliance of all activities with Abbott standards & policies Ensure building skills & developing competencies for our people to better understand our customer to support more fruitful partnerships with stakeholders to aid current and future portfolio growth
•Manage in conjunction with Commercial Excellence Director, department budget ensuring due diligence and best practice cost control. Responsibility for designated, project-related budgets as appropriate, ensuring they are maintained within spending limits.
•Manage outsourcing partners and agencies regarding results and budget. The position reports directly to AV Director Customer Excellence for Europe, Middle East, and Africa and will interact with in-country organizations as well as senior staff within country affiliates
Knowledge & Skills:
•Highly developed communications and leadership skills.
•Thorough working knowledge of the medical device industry is required.
•Ability to travel extensively.
•Expert knowledge in areas of Cardiovascular medicine.
•Communication and influencing skills
•Ability to interface with customers and key opinion leaders
•Strong strategic, analytical and conceptual capabilities including systems knowledge such as salesforce.com
•Results and performance driven
•Knowledge of Medical Device industry is a plus
•Language skills in addition to English are a plus
