Primary Job Function
Responsible for planning and implementation of marketing communications projects in the areas of advertising and promotional programs, trade shows, and digital communications. Participates in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing objectives. Plans, creates and produces marketing, advertising, and sales promotion materials to implement marketing strategies and sales objectives. Prepares materials for the sales force, evaluates and modifies promotion or advertising programs based on feedback and analytics collected.
Core Job Responsibilities
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Consults with product management to develop communication objectives and strategies, and determine and manage the project budget and the production schedule.; 2. Interact with multiple vendors to provide direction and ensure projects' goals are achieved, budget for promotional activities to ensure quality production and timely completion of projects.; 3. Acts as liaison between vendors and product management and facilitates communication to achieve consensus and complete the development of promotional project.; 4. Quality checks product at all stages of development and production process including final approval for content, branding, and design elements of every material produced.; 5. Support product management in tradeshow objectives and strategies development, maintains budgets, and manages the associated timelines and schedules.; 6. Manages and coordinates exhibitions at trade shows and conferences.; 7. Proactively promotes expansion of digital tools as a major marketing communications approach, domestically, and internationally.; 8. Actively promotes Abbott Vascular brand by ensuring projects meet corporate brand standards.

(Supervision Received) Works under minimal supervision. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. (Supervision Provided) May provide work direction and guidance to peers within marketing communications or to cross-functional teams as needed.

Participates in the development of less experienced staff by setting an example, providing guidance, and offering counsel. May lead a project team. Participates in determining goals and objectives for projects. Consult with middle management on technical or business solutions.; (Planning/Organization) Plans and organizes non-routine tasks w/approval. Initiates or maintains work schedule. Establishes priorities of work assignments.; (Decision Making/Impact) Exercises judgment in selecting innovative, practical methods to achieve problem resolution.
Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum Experience / Training Required
(Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Solid understanding and application of business concepts, procedures and practices. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.; 3. (Cognitive Skills) Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Has a sound knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on their business unit.
Prior experience in brand marketing or marketing communications is preferred. Experience in healthcare industry is a plus, but not required.
