Primary Job Function
Responsible for the development of specific marketing communication plans and activities managing for specific projects to establish, enhance or distinguish prioritization and focus in the US Commercial organization.
Activities may include tactics, tools, logistics, basic messaging and positioning.
Responsible for implementing short and long term communication tactics to effectively support commercial strategy, priorities and communication plans for US leadership.

Ensure projects are consistent with product line and sales strategies and priorities and messaging is effectively conveyed.
Provide strategic commercial input to the development of assigned projects.
Create and implement marketing communications projects and programs to support leadership and organizational direction.
Design and execute communication plans.
Project management scope detailed in position accountability and scope.
This position will not have direct reports.
Position Accountability / Scope
Leads small projects, may lead large projects.
Has a solid understanding of concepts and has applied them with a good deal of effectiveness.
Functions fairly independently, only needing to go to others for guidance or direction. Understand business environment and relates extensive knowledge of internal and external activities to trends.
Interfaces with a variety of management levels on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units.
Exercised judgment independently.
Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
Initiates or maintains schedule for projects and project milestones.
Establishes priorities of individual or project assignments.
Selects methods and techniques to lead a project to completion.
Help manage creative process and determine the best approach to execute each assignment.
Build creditability and trust with cross functional partners in order to drive results.
Contribute to the development of the US Commercial Communications culture and quality standards.
Provide quality control on projects to ensure design quality, Abbott brand compliance and production accuracy.
Thorough understanding for AV business
BA/BS Degree in Marketing. MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and strategic focus of the position. 3-5 years of progressively responsible Marketing product/brand management experience in either health care/OTC marketing; or consumer packaged goods marketing; or a combination of the two.
Advanced level PC skills to include Word and Excel.
Demonstrated effective leadership competencies.
Demonstrated success and leadership in project management
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.
