Abbott Sales - Clinical Trials Business Development Executive, Abbott Diabetes Care in Singapore, Singapore


Primary Job Function

The primary role of this position is to proactively develop business relationships with existing key accounts and drive new business opportunities, while ensuring execution of commercial processes leading to greater operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction and meeting sales target.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for sales including forecasting and target performance achievement

  • Develop new opportunities in the Clinical Trials business with new customers

  • Co-ordinate and prepare customer proposals and budgets for new and existing business opportunities

  • Establish senior level relationships with Principal Investigators & Clinicians and leverage them to drive new sales

  • Supervise all customer orders are executed on time minimizing delays to customer

  • Liaise with the appropriate internal departments to ensure operations are running with no delays

Position Accountability/Scope

The position reports directly to Global Clinical Trials Manager and will interact with Demand Managers as well as senior staff within country affiliates


  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Science or Business

  • Demonstrated experience of new businesses development and proven track record of sales target achievement

  • Sales experience in Pharma, CRO, or Medical Devices sector

  • Excellent negotiation, planning and communication skills

  • Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated

  • Incumbent will demonstrate the necessary, self-motivation, attitude, confidence to work collaboratively with other commercial channels, across functions, with other peers and support groups such as Marketing to deliver business results and solutions

  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) are a must
