JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

The Snr AR Executive is responsible for interacting internally and externally to resolve outstanding issues relating to accounts receivable, inclusive of Credit, Collections, Cash Application, and Dispute Resolution, on a daily basis for the region including but not limited to: (a) review of credit extended to customers within the normal credit review process; (b) preparation and review of credit requests over threshold values (c) monitoring of monthly receivables, (d) determination and review of customers placed on credit hold and (e) reviewing explanations for customer payment differences.

Responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of OTC tasks and processes from Abbott’s M & A activities into current Shared Services operating model

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform credit functions within the defined process standards.
  • Understand customer profiles and evaluate customer credit worthiness

  • Recommend credit limits for threshold customers

  • Review credit assessment and terms provided to existing and new customers

  • Review credit holds and recommended actions

  • Periodically review standard credit terms

  • Support customer service representatives and sales force

  • Assist in issue resolution with or between internal contributors or external parties to the process

  • Maintain policies and procedures for the credit processes in accordance with GPM guidance

  1. Perform and coordinate the credit activities for shared services
  • Assist the OTC Manager in performing, facilitating, and reviewing day to day credit activity within the center and the 3rd party provider

  • Assure processing is performed within standards and allows for service level attainment

  • Continuously improve process design focusing on simplification, standardization, quality improvement and cost minimization

  • Contribute to process improvement reviews

  • Evaluate best practices with global peers and develop improvement suggestions

  1. Perform accounts receivable functions within the defined process standards.
  • Manage accounts receivable utilizing multiple systems

  • Review and investigate customer receipt variances

  • Communicate with internal and external parties regarding accounts receivable questions, error correction and discrepancy resolution

  • Review monthly performance reports

  • Provide internal and external audit support as required

  • Coordinate with AR manager information requirements for Treasury department

  • Maintain policies and procedures for the AR processes in accordance with GPM guidance stakeholders.

  • Track and report on metrics for credit performance within the center and assist in developing action plans to meet targets.

  • Process customer claims and rebates and service billing

  1. Tasks and projects
  • Participate in Finance Transformation projects; support the planning and implementation of shared services migration activities

  • Drive BTS operating model in new mergers and acquisitions

Requirements:

Minimum Education

  • BA degree in Business or Accounting

Minimum Experience

  • 3-5 plus years of credit experience inclusive of all aspects of credit management

  • Knowledge and understanding of overall OTC processes

  • Prior recent experience working in a captive SSC environment preferred.

  • Experience with 3rd party outsource providers preferred

  • Strong ability to interact with internal and external parties at various levels

  • Attentive to detail with a propensity for continuous improvement
