JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

Responsible for managing and implementing short and long term business tactics and strategies to effectively support commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives for assigned product(s). Additional responsibilities include strategy development, marketing/business plan development, financial management, project management and AP&G (Advertising, Promotions & Gratis) budget administration.

Main Responsibilities

Provide strategic commercial input to the development of assigned product(s).

Develop and execute national product education, publication and promotional activities to effectively communicate the strategic positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers.

Drive product positioning and competitive selling strategies as well as providing leadership in managing the logistics, market share and revenue of the product.

Manage the development of marketing and sales aid/promotional materials for Field Sales to effectively promote and sell the product.

Manage promotional materials to establish product branding and messaging.

Present product and marketing programs to Sr.

Management.

Create and implement marketing programs to support a designated product line(s).

Design and execute advertising and promotion plans.

Lead cross functional project teams focused on execution of programs, initiatives and/or strategies. * Administer AP&G budget.

Analyze and report periodic financial performance including sales revenue and profit margin.

Manage and coordinate internal marketing research and market claims testing and data analysis including use of retail data services such as Neilson.

Collaborate with Ross Marketing Research to obtain and assess research and/or survey data.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.

These groups include external customers and consumers, Field Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Logistics, Public Affairs, Marketing and Executive Management and external vendors or agencies.

Accountability

Product line dimensions and scope vary.

Incumbent is accountable for developing and executing strategic and tactical objectives associated with driving product sales including P&L.

Actions and decisions will affect attainment of product line financial goals and objectives.

Qualifications

BA/BS Degree in Marketing. MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and strategic focus of the position. 3-5 years of progressively responsible Marketing product/brand management experience in either health care/OTC marketing; or consumer packaged goods marketing; or a combination of the two.

- Advanced level PC skills to include Word and Excel.

- Demonstrated effective leadership competencies.

- Demonstrated success and leadership in project management

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.

- Strong analytical skills including business and financial management.
