Abbott Laboratory Technician (12 month Contract) / Technicien de laboratoire (Contrat 12 mois) in Victoriaville, Canada


Purpose of Position:

The purpose of this position is to carry out sample preparation and analyses in the laboratory.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Samples and analyzes raw material, products in process and finished product in compliance with the quality control program.

  • Analyzes the final product including the standards preparation for HPLC, mobile phase and interprets the results.

  • Prepares different solutions for analyses.

  • Calibrates the laboratory equipment as stipulated in the SOP’s.

  • Communicates the appropriate information to the appropriate personnel.

  • Maintains appropriate records on all tests, procedure and results including the stability study. Informs the Q.C.-Q.A. supervisor or manager the non-compliance results.

  • Prepares the labels for the release procedure for raw material and finished product.

  • Performs any analyses with respect of security rules and the GMP practice.

  • Maintains a clean area in the laboratory and complies with health and safety regulations.

  • In the absence of the Q.C.-Q.A. supervisor supports and replaces that position.

  • Participates to the writing SOP’s.

Education :

  • College degree or equivalent in related science.

Experience :

  • 1-2 years of related experience

Réaliser la préparation et l’analyse des échantillons au laboratoire.

Principales responsabilités:

  • Échantillonner et analyser les matières premières, les produits en cours de fabrication et les produits finis conformément au programme de contrôle de la qualité.

  • Analyser le produit final, y compris les préparations standards en vue de la chromatographie liquide à haute performance et de la phase mobile, et interpréter les résultats.

  • Préparer différentes solutions en vue des analyses.

  • Calibrer l’équipement de laboratoire selon les instructions figurant dans les PON.

  • Communiquer l’information appropriée au personnel pertinent.

  • Tenir des registres exacts de tous les tests, procédures et résultats, y compris les études de stabilité. Informer le Superviseur ou le Chef, CQ-AQ, des résultats non conformes.

  • Préparer les étiquettes pour le déblocage des matières premières et des produits finis.

  • Effectuer toute analyse relative aux règles de sécurité et aux bonnes pratiques de fabrication.

  • Assurer la propreté des aires du laboratoire utilisées et respecter les règlements en matière de santé et de sécurité.

  • Remplacer le Superviseur, CQ-AQ, lorsque ce dernier s’absente.

  • Participer à la rédaction des PON.


  • Diplôme d’études collégiales ou l’équivalent dans une science connexe

Expérience :

  • Un à deux ans d’expérience pertinente
