Primary Job Function

QM SAP Module Configurators are responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the functional areas of an SAP package. Incumbents collaborate with company customers, staff, IT and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies and recommend solution options. This position performs work at the highest technical level within one or more functional areas and is familiar with project management techniques. This position ensures that SAP functions are configured to meet business needs and processes and to apply a broad knowledge of various functions to anticipate organizational impacts.

Core Job Responsibilities

Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

·Communicate SAP capabilities/possibilities within one or more functional areas.

·Provide business analysis in one or more functional areas (Manufacturing, Logistics, sales, etc) within the enterprise.

·Communicate with all levels of the organization to insure that the business requirements are valid.

·Provide feedback to Business Owner / Executive on the required business process changes and/or the implication of customized design.

·Configure SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.

·Assess SAP configuration within a module to ensure it is not in conflict with existing SAP environment or with designs in progress in other SAP modules.

·Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.

·Lead projects or regularly coach other project personnel to ensure functionality is developed in a way that complies with business requirements and established methodologies and practices.

·Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.

·Comply with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.

Position Accountability / Scope

Reports directly to the SAP Lead Configuator or Information Manager. Has regular interaction with internal business unit’s management and IT. External relationships consist of vendors, industry peers, and professional associations to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems or business-related functional discipline (accounting, finance, HR, etc.) with an understanding of programming concepts. MBA preferred

Minimum Experience / Training Required

·At least 5 years of experience in the given business function in either an IT or business capacity.

·Three to five years SAP configuration experience in one or more modules, solid understanding of SAP data model in one or more functional areas.

·Understanding of the integration of SAP so as to determine the impact of configuration in one module on a corresponding module.

·Experience with structured design, development, and implementation of new computing architectures.

·Comprehensive understanding of SAP's customizing toolset.

·One complete SAP (module) implementation.

·Good project management techniques are required (cross-functional experience is highly desirable), operating as part of a team organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation.

·Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

·Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.

·Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.

Experience in SQA processes relating to the Pharma/Medical Products industry requirements.
