Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) is looking:
Sr. Scientist Advanced Analytical Techniques
Support the Established Products Operations (EPO) technical functions worldwide. Resolve manufacturing or analytical issues for EPO products.
Provide technical support during development, commercial launch or problem solving for a given Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) or drug product.
Development and validation of new analytical methods (e.g. solid state, PSD, XRPD, NIR, Raman, thermal analysis techniques). Test method transfer and trouble shooting of existing analytical methods.
Oversee a variety of analytical aspects including the meaning of analytical data from various sources.
Understand and keeps up to date with international regulatory guidance (e.g. FDA, EMA, ICH).
Manage Laboratory Technicians during execution of their tasks during the projects.
Tasks and responsibilities
You are an expert of the analytical aspects important in the production of Established Products.
Plan, design and coordinate analytical activities during projects (e.g. method development, validation).
Represent the department in cross functional project teams.
Review and write technical development reports and regulatory documentations.
Communicate with different stakeholders about the project progress.
Background and competences
MSc or PhD with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry;
5 years relevant work experience;
Experience with method development using techniques like: solid state, PSD, XRPD, NIR, Raman, thermal analysistechniques;
Experience in Pharmaceutical industry is a pré;
Familiar with CMC, Pharmacopeia, ICH and/or GMP;Strong communication skills;
A real people manager;
Good organization and project management skills;
Can do mentality;
Willing to travel abroad a few times a year;
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
