Abbott Corporate HR is looking for a

Manager HR Communciations (m/f) Europe, Middle East & Africa

reporting into the Director, HR Communciations. The position is based in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The manager, HR Communications serves as the primary relationship manager within the area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identifies communication opportunities for clients to align with and support Abbott’s global HR brand strategy.

  • Develops communication strategies and plans to guide the creation, design and implementation of communication programs and vehicles specific to the region.

  • Advises HR leaders as to the benefits and risks of various communication approaches.

  • Effectively manages client relationships with internal and external communication partners (Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, HR personnel, outside contractors, etc.).

  • Ensures all HR Communications are consistent and aligned with Abbott's corporate brand identity and strategic directions, business philosophies and general practices.

  • Works with HR Communication team members to ensure a cohesive and complementary approach to the comprehensive, global HR Communications strategy.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, public relations or other communication-related major.

  • 8-10 years experience with increasing responsibility in multiple communication roles in corporate or agency setting. Specific Human Resources Communication is a plus.

  • Experience working with senior management or clients is a must.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic counsel as well as tactical excellence in internal communications, executive communications and relationship management is a must.

  • This position requires strong project management skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, and multitasking ability.

  • Preferred candidate will be multi-lingual. A command of the English language is a must.
