For Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC) to drive a competitive advantage, the business needs to continue its path to become data intelligent. The Business Analytics team is responsible for building data assets, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the business become data intelligent and drive business and organization performance. This role is responsible for applying hands on, advanced, analytical techniques to a broad range of data assets to drive an analytics-driven culture that delivers top-line growth, controls costs, and takes timely corrective action to reduce risks that derail plans.

This position reports directly to Director Business Analytics and is responsible for driving the following strategy:

  • Powering cross functional business development through data and analytics by building out the right applications to enable business teams to move faster, with more accurate data and enabling future looking decisions

  • Driving ANSC to assisted and predictive decision making by unlocking the insights from a vast deluge of consumer, customer and internal data, and presenting this in a way that is simple for our teams

Essential Job Functions:

  • Facilitates the development of program strategy, governance and communications by partnering with key business stakeholders to define business issues and opportunities, by proactively identifying emerging needs, product capabilities and features that will make a step change for the supply chain business user.

  • Develop full program plans including milestones, deliverables, resourcing, dependencies, development, escalation and communication.

  • Owns and manages program delivery plans, schedule, budget, scope

  • Drives multiple project teams to successful outcomes, balancing the work of internal teams with the expectations of multiple external stakeholders.

  • Maintains ongoing transparent communication with stakeholders as it relates to program status and risks

  • Identifies dependencies across project/product teams and facilitates and builds consensus to ensure minimal risk to program delivery

  • Ensures teams have tools and resources needed to perform work effectively and communicates and/or escalates gaps

  • Works with team to continually improve and accelerate the delivery process

  • Manages vendor relationships in the context of project/program delivery

  • Serves as the trusted data and analytics consultant for key supply chain leaders, to provide product solutions that rapidly solve for business issues.

  • Supports the transformation of the wider organization into a data driven and analytics savvy high-performance team culture consistent with ANSC vision and mission

  • Builds partnerships across organizational, departmental, and geographical boundaries with the ability to manage vendors and contractual agreements

  • Demonstrates a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver results

  • Ability to communicate, influence and partner effectively using strong verbal and written communication

Qualifications:

  • Has played a leadership role on multiple projects, successfully delivering critical components of projects or programs

  • Successful track record working with executive level professionals to drive definition, alignment for the application of analytics and data to address business issues, resulting in meeting business objectives.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Strong initiative and independence, needing limited oversight and direction during critical decision points or issues in the project/program

  • Demonstrated ability to develop credibility and strong working relationships with product and technical colleagues

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and evaluate other Project Managers

  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques

  • Understands software and analytic development processes, and possesses working knowledge of various agile methodologies

  • Knowledge of the value of Analytic practices in industry and field

  • Proven ability to remove barriers that may affect timely project delivery. Has created, assessed and implemented risk mitigation plans to resolve negative impact to programs

  • Demonstrated experience delivering global business and technology projects or programs

  • Take big-picture concepts and turn them into actionable tasks for the team to drive efficient execution.

  • Tackle problems with a data-driven approach and sound business judgement.

  • Demonstrated senior level applied expertise in agile frameworks

  • Education

  • Bachelors' degree in Business, Computer Science, (Master or PHd in Business, Math, or Statistics preferred)

  • 10+ years project/program experience within data and analytics capabilities, software applications, or a related field.

  • PMP certification or training a plus
