Position Summary

AN Global Laboratory Systems Manager has an in-depth knowledge and experience of the testing data management requirements and is responsible for management of the Laboratory Data Management systems and the business process, and for any needs associated with the management, maintenance and effective business use of quality information systems for multiple user groups and areas globally. Analyzes and drives standardization of the LIMS Data Management business processes, documents business requirements, translates business requirements into user requirements and performs data and process modeling; manages changes. Creates /updates necessary Policies and SOPs a drives decisions and approvals necessary to stay complaint to the quality system requirements for the AN LIMS Data Business Process, reviews and approves change requests assures escalations of the changes with potential major impact to Global Network. Assures management of regional resources, work prioritization and level loading in alignment with the business-critical needs across the network in conjunction with approved plan, commitments and attainment to key milestones and alignment with the strategy. Assures people, culture and knowledge transfer management; leads, coordinates / performs testing, verification, and validation of requirements. Works directly with direct user groups to understand specific business processes and business drivers and business strategy across multiple business units; identifies and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology, process or people initiatives. Investigates and understands user needs in relations to the capabilities of existing systems and technologies and creates requests for required support per the the business strategy and leads the development of appropriate information management strategies. Identifies, proposes, initiates and leads improvement programs relevant to the AN LIMS data management, establishing requirements for the implementation of significant changes in business functions and processes, organizational roles and responsibilities and scope or nature of IT service delivery.

Additional Main Responsibilities

Ad hoc support for production users.

Troubleshoot issues in SampleManager LIMS System, Provide end user training, Identify process improvements business.

Develops, leads, or reviews the creation of information systems process standardization plans to support the strategy.

Identifies the business benefits to support strategic requirements of quality and compliance.

Ensures compliance between business strategies and technology directions.

Conducts training.

Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other AN functions, ANIT BRM and IT departments to ensure successful collaboration in support of project efforts.

Manages relationships between LIMS user groups, IT and quality organizations to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring.

Allies with others to remain current on status of issues resolutions, and inform management of progress and resolves conflicts.

Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information.

Accountability/Scope/Budget

Acts as a liaison and business process expert to QA organizations to assure business process standardization.

Serves as a source of information on the business drivers, processes and dynamics of multiple user groups and their needs.

Assignments are often self-initiated.

Plans and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.

Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial and quality aspects.

Establishes organizational objectives and delegates assignments.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 7-10 years of related work experience.
