Abbott’s HR Portfolio team is seeking a senior analyst to help support the priority HR projects. The right candidate for this role will be highly energetic, ready for a challenge and have the ability to execute highly complex or specialized analyses and processes. They will anticipate downstream impact of decisions or recommendations, effectively collaborate within the department as well as within and outside of the broader HR function, they will demonstrative the ability to drive work to resolution, all while serving with care, compassion, and confidence.
The main purpose of the rol e is r esponsibility for the HR portfolio’s 1) monthly, annual and quarterly budgetary process including managing actuals to plan; 2) procurement process; 3) creating, generating, and distributing reports to the project team and other stakeholders, and 4) project coordinator activities as required.
Core Job Responsibilities
Responsible for providing analytical support for HR priority projects including management and coordination of all project budgets, project RCEs, procurement process (purchase orders, invoicing, tracking, monitoring), portfolio health, status reports, and timelines
Organize, implement and assist finance, project leads and project managers with the technical aspects of the project budget process and managing the project actuals to plan, both monthly LBEs and quarterly RLBEs
Summarizes and reports out to the Director HR Portfolio, HR finance team, procurement, and project leadership on budget progress, procurement status, and as needed for other project coordinator activities as required
Seeks, develops, and establishes business relationships with non-HR functions (e.g., procurement, finance, legal, IT, etc.) to drive and provide support to the project managers on executing project deliverables
Proactively seeks and recommends innovative ways to improve the HR portfolio processes as it relates to budget, procurement, cycle time, project coordination, and processes
Is considered a subject matter expert in project coordination, RCEs, project budgets, and project procurement processes
Works independently and within guidelines
Communicates issues to leadership while driving for resolution
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree (± 4 years) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Advanced credential such as CPA or equivalent preferred
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced changing environment
Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable
Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines
Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within the organization
Previous experience managing multi-million dollar budgets preferred
