Primary Job Function:
Develop and execute project plans for the installation and implementation of all stand alone and standalone + middleware for Alinity s placements in the Transfusion Medicine Global Organization. This includes working with sales and service to set proper customer expectations; build project timelines; coordinate installation and integration resources and managing the customer go live/Test of Record (TOR) experience. Establish; coordinate and provide leadership for Abbott & customer teams to ensure that implementation plans are executed on time to accomplish mutual goals. Provide timely updates to CPMO on progress and obstacles. Act as the single point of contact for the customer and Abbott team for all activities associated with the preparation and execution of the instrument implementation.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Planning and tracking instrument shipment; delivery; installation; integration and pre/post customer go live experience for the service/sales region supported
Participate in and provide guidance; timelines and project management support for implementation teams
Own TOR timelines; metrics and exception reporting for all projects within the sales/service region supported
Facilitate team behaviors that ensure activities are completed
Interact with Ambassadors, CE Managers, GSS and Abbott Italy to obtain resources for
installation and integration timelines and project plans
Interact with Training organization to determine best training dates for customer timelines
Use Project Management tools to develop site specific implementation plans
Drive execution of all tasks on both the Abbott & customer side
Develop contingency plans to address issues as they arise
Update project status routinely to assess impact on resources and completion dates
Identify process improvements to shorten the time/resources needed from shipment to Test of Record
Position Accountability / Scope:
The TOR Project Manager is responsible for developing an implementation plan and ensuring execution of such plan on time. Significant reagent sales dollars are tied to "go live" or "Test of Record" date of the

without direct authority. This position works closely with CE Managers and Managing Directors and provides reports on status of shipments and TOR.
The TOR Project manager develops a relationship with the internal and/or customer in order to drive the project to completion.
This relationship is key for a successful implementation as perceived by the customer.
Key measures that drive the business include time from shipment to "TOR Ready" and time from shipment to TOR. The TOR Project Manager is the focal person who understands the full scope of each project and the progress being made forward. They are responsible for escalations and involving the correct people to resolve issues and drive to TOR.
BA or BS in Medical Technology or related science; engineering or project management field.
Formal project management; LSS Green Belt or Black Belt training preferred. Knowledge of laboratory operation.
Minimum Experience / Training Required:
Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics
2 years’ project management experience
LSS greenbelt or black belt or PMP Certification preferred
Understanding of field service, instrument shipping logistics, ADD sales cycle and integration workflow with job functionality
Strong leadership skills and experience with ability to influence without direct authority
Effective customer interaction skills. Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
Ability to negotiate win/win solutions for Abbott and customer
Strong organizational skills and problem solving skills
Solid oral and written communications skills
Excellent planning skills and attention to detail.
