Job Summary:

Proactively contribute to design control or process/product improvement activities and investigations. Perform or support test/process method modifications, recognize adverse trends/emerging issues, and propose/implement solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Management - Independently design; manage; and conduct complex long duration projects and product improvements or support of Third Party Manufacturer projects.

  • Partner with and lead cross functional teams. Create project plans and manage schedules. Give regular status updates to functional leadership. Communicate effectively within ADD and with TPMs.

  • Product and Process Improvement - Recognizes opportunities and proposes novel ideas for significant operational; process or product improvements. Identify technical alternatives and make risk-based decisions within the area. Use technical data that interacts with multiple areas and processes. Provides diverse; independent technical data and insight to support risk management evaluation and assessment. Capable of resolving recurrent problems.

  • Technical Review and data mining – Uses familiarity with internal Abbott databases to search for technical, quality and regulatory documents needed to address project needs. Uses technical knowledge to acquire, analyze, and interpret data. Applies information and methods for problem solving. Arrives at timely conclusions and proposes next steps.

  • Technical writing – Writes or edits technical documents as needed. Ensure timely approval of such documents.

  • Sharing Knowledge - Presents complex technical information through written reports and presentations to internal and external groups. Shares knowledge and expertise with others in work group. Shares scientific information and expertise with CFT and regulatory agencies.

  • Strategic and Results Orientation - Demonstrates fiscal responsibility through actionable recommendations and accomplishments. Translates top-level goals to specific goals and aligns activities with respective strategic business priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Higher Certificate, Ordinary or Honors Bachelor degree in scientific and technical field is desired or relevant combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years’ related work experience. (Advanced degree(s) may offset required years of experience).
