Position Scope

Reporting to the Director of Portal Strategy, the Senior Manager of Portal and Digital Strategy will lead the development of project requirements, design, implementation and delivery of Abbott’s Human Resources portal applications. The role requires knowledge of corporate portal applications, solutions and their value proposition.

Job Description

  • Collaborates with HR leadership and service and practice centers to define the HR portal business objectives and design requirements.

  • Collaborates with business subject matter experts, designers, and the IT organization to insure HR requirements are comprehended and supported on a global basis.

  • Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.

  • Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to insure all activities are performed.

  • Communicates progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Director, HR Portal Strategy, project teams and executive leadership.

  • Coordinates resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assigns tasks and deliverables to team members.

  • Conducts ongoing design, usability, and governance assessments.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5-9 years experience in project management, portal/intranet development, business systems analysis, software development or deployment experience.

  • Extensive experience in SharePoint Online and Office 365.

  • Ability to demonstrate the relationship of technology to business value to key client stakeholders.

  • Capable of making key decisions around approach

  • Effectively collaborate across multi-disciplinary project teams to produce well thought out and innovative designs.

  • Demonstrate experience solving a variety of technical challenges involving integration, personalization, and innovation.

  • Assess complexity and risk, producing strategies and plans for mitigating risks.

  • Manage teams through planning, design and implementation and delivery.

  • Familiarity with content management systems and their integration into portal solutions.

  • Minimum - B.S. degree in business, computer science, information design, or related field

  • Masters degree preferred.
