Primary Job Function

Provides leadership and project management for the global Quality & Regulatory training organization. Interacts with Abbott professionals on global cross-functional teams as a leader in developing and/or revising training content, processes and procedures to ensure that the programs are executed successfully. Ensures proper change control, communication and metrics are in place for corporate training initiatives. Provides department leadership on use of learning tools and learning development processes.

Core Job Responsibilities

Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

Oversees development and delivery of course content through appropriate methodology for Abbott personnel in quality, regulatory, compliance, engineering, environmental health, safety, and security disciplines. Develops, analyzes and reports metrics for management. Manages self and/or resources, as assigned, to complete planned activities. Tracks and manages the budget for assigned projects. Responsible for training standard operating procedure change management. Facilitates cross-functional SMEs in development and revision of procedures/courses. Initiates change control processes to implement new and revised procedures/courses.

Position Accountability / Scope

Employee is accountable for providing and implementing global training. This training can directly impact

divisional goals and objectives. Will have external and internal customer interactions including interface with various levels of management including senior leaders. Required to operate under minimum supervision, determine priorities to meet short-term and long-term objectives, and determine what actions require upper management's review and input.

Minimum Education

Bachelor degree (BS/BA) required. Degree in science, education, instructional design/adult learning, project management or similar field preferred.

Minimum Experience / Training Required

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Training function or equivalent; preferably in a regulated environment. Experience preferred in the following: Instructional Design Tools such as Articulate Storyline 2/3, Lectora and Brainshark, Project Management, Quality System requirements, Problem solving, and Instructional design. Must be knowledgeable of Quality System Regulations and corporate policy requirements to ensure compliance and consistency across the corporation. Minimum two years of project management experience.
