Primary Job Function:

This position will serve as a team lead and primarily focus on special projects to support the Vascular selling division, along with Business Analyst support for 2-3 Regional Sales Directors for pricing and contracting activities. Working in support of the Coronary and Endovascular Divisions, this position will work directly with Sales, Management, Marketing, Finance and Legal to apply business management principles and financial concepts to identify and recommend strategies.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as a team lead and provide guidance, training and assistance to Analyst teams.

  • Responsible for agendas, presentation material and approval documentation for executive sales leadership conference calls.

  • Project management to support business needs with pricing and contracting initiatives and process improvement projects to streamline processes and enhance tools.

  • Work with Management, Marketing and Legal on product launches. This includes developing and implementing strategies and coordinating with internal teams to successfully support the launch.

  • Work with Management, Marketing and Legal on new pricing and contracting strategies, to include alliances and cross divisional programs. Will require coordination with multiple internal teams, provide Field Sales Organization and Analyst training, developing presentation content and ensuring successful sales support of such strategies.

  • Work independently to provide financial, business and consultative support to the Field Sales Organization related to pricing and contracting.

  • Support Field Sales Organization in formulating and negotiating contracts in conjunction with legal, contract compliance and management to facilitate positive outcomes.

  • Ensures the timely review, detailed financial analysis, and administration of sales requests. Strong understanding and leadership for Capital deals that leverage the full Coronary portfolio.

  • The ability to articulate key conclusions resulting from analysis and provide appropriate and relevant recommendations is required. Counsel the sales team to ensure requests are consistent with business strategies.

  • Generates pricing documents, contracts and amendment responses from standard and customer templates. Reviews customer redlines, modifies general contractual language for account specific programs and seeks final approval. Ability to negotiate terms directly with customers.

  • Understands internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes and services.

  • Manages communication and awareness of pricing and contractual obligations with all levels of internal and external customers.

  • Solves complex problems, exercising sound business judgment to make recommendations based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Promote creative problem solving among team members and foster a team environment.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously: organization, attention to detail, ability to work under general supervision, superior communication and presentation skills, deal with unresolved issues, and effectively communicating and maintaining rapport with sales, management and internal teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify innovative solutions to solve complex problems, based on analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Contract development experience in a medical related field and familiarity writing and editing legal contract language.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attentiveness to detail, and ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to listen, deal with unresolved issues, delays and unexpected events, and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, internal teams and customers.

  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks is essential with the ability to be adaptable as competing tasks arise.

  • Advanced proficiency with all MS Office products.

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • MBA Preferred

  • 8+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
