The Content Strategist/Copywriter for Cardiac Rhythmic Management is responsible for implementing content strategy for the CRM business by creating engaging content to support global product launch plans and/or global campaigns across multiple channels and geographies to enable sales and build the Abbott Brand.

This role’s success is built upon the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the business, products, customers, distribution channels, and competitors while applying their perspective and expertise in marketing communications to ensure cohesive, clear and consistent content and messaging throughout the CRM portfolio. This individual should possess strong writing skills, be able to transform complex concepts into digestible messages for external audiences, and have an eye for detail.

Writing and Editing Responsibilities

  • Produce copy for marketing materials, advertisements, and other projects, as needed

  • Collaborate with CRM MCOM and MKT to develop consistent messaging across all communications, including press releases, marketing/ promotional materials, and website copy.

  • Copyedit and proofread content produced by MKT for the web and print materials

  • Coordinate content with Brand, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure we create a consistent end-to-end experience.

  • Plan and write content for web and digital (emails and product messaging)

  • Collaborate with design partners to influence page layout, interactions and visual design

Website Content Responsibilities

  • Ensure website content maintains consistent brand language, tone, and voice

  • Coordinate with web team to improve the user experience, ensure quality and accuracy of website content for the CRM portfolio.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously- ability to adapt to changing priorities

  • Align with CRM MKT to ensure projects remain on track and are successfully executed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent, highly creative communication and critical-thinking skills

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience, copywriting/copyediting

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.

  • Experience in Life Science, B2B or B2C is preferred

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teams.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

  • Travel up to 20%, domestically
