We are seeking an experienced product portfolio manager to serve as the commercial marketing lead on high-profile portfolio management core teams for Abbott’s industry-leading chronic pain and neurological disorder therapies portfolio.

As a member of the global downstream marketing team, this position will work closely with cross-functional, global partners to create, define, and implement global processes and strategies that ensure our product portfolio aligns with strategic objectives of the organization.

  • Main Responsibilities Develops strategic marketing plans to meet global revenue, profitability, and market penetration goals, ensuring collaboration and alignment with cross-functional partners

  • Provides analysis of portfolio sales trends to support go-forward initiatives

  • Uses product development plans, sales data and commercial strategy to create and implement strategies to manage/right-size product portfolio to maximize value and efficiency

  • Serves as global marketing lead on the geographic expansion core team, responsible for coordinating completion of and presenting business cases to leadership for new product introductions and market expansions

  • Works across sales leadership and sales operations to create global pricing strategy and management process

  • Serve as global marketing lead on EU MDR core team, ensuring commercial strategy is maintained while meeting overall compliance standards of the new regulation

  • Continuously monitors market needs and customer acceptance through sales force contact, customer visits, attending key congresses and meetings, and conducting primary and secondary market research

  • Analyzes sales metrics to project financial forecast and evolve strategy to secure results

  • Maintains understanding of neuromodulation technology in a competitive environment

  • Manages to a quarterly and annual budget

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent; MBA preferred

  • 3-5 years progressively responsible finance, program management, marketing similar experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail

  • Strong business acumen

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel (advanced skills preferred)

  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for financial modeling

  • Experience working with complex product portfolios in the medical device industry

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

  • Ability to travel up to 40%

  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
