Abbott Established Pharma Division (EPD) is looking for a
Global Product Manager - Respiratory
for our global EPD Headquarter based in Allschwil/Basel, Switzerland
In this role you will be responsible for upgrading the business/marketing strategy to rejuvenate the legacy brand, implement the respective marketing plan and tactics assuring the full buy in of the affiliates leading to commercial success of the assigned product/franchise.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Develop and champion a futuristic strategic plan designed to defend and further grow the legacy brand and consequently the entire TA above the market
Set inspirational goals for the global legacy brand and drive TA architecture, brand positioning and competitive differentiation and messaging in all aspects of the TA
Initiate quests for market insights focusing on unmet needs and customer experience by conducting market research and channel those insights to augment the portfolio around the legacy brand
Ensure affiliate marketing plans are within the strategy and portfolio imperatives and are reviewed and challenged and remedied as needed
Build global and affiliate priorities to ensure proper portfolio management
Scout the market for potential candidates for the future portfolio
Create and deliver global marketing initiatives and campaigns to support affiliates in the delivery and execution of local brand strategy
Drive sales growth for the assigned brand globally by supporting and directing key affiliates making sure brand performance exceeds the market
Shape a dynamic working environment in which all stakeholders from the TA team share common objectives and are motivated to excel in execution
Have deep understanding of the local market reality/needs, challenge and support priority affiliates on their local strategy, tactics and implementation plans by spending at least 50% of the time in the markets
Champion portfolio expansion and continuously review and enhance TA positioning, portfolio choices and brand architecture
Work closely with the trade & sales department to drive portfolio selling and further strengthen key accounts and pharmacy partnerships
Be a catalyst for product innovation and pipeline development by identifying opportunities in order to improve the coverage of the category and brands
Review and validate all commercial input and prepare business cases for the Innovation Board
Define and prepare the external communication plan (KOL database / Congresses / Symposiums)
Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the stakeholder base
University degree (ideally Science and/or Business) with a preference for it to be complemented by an MBA or post graduate marketing qualification. Having a scientific background is a strong advantage.
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
At least 3-5 years pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience as a Product or Brand Manager
Working already in an international or global position / Head Quarters position or for Emerging Markets preferred
Experience in managing respiratory or comparable franchise products
Customer focus, Innovative and highly energetic and inspirational
Willing to Travel up to 50% in to the key markets
Language requirement: Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
