Focus of the role is on radiation sterilization, microbiology and packaging integrity for the Freestsyle Libre flash glucose monitoring product. Experience in these fields is desirable, but not essential. The incumbent is responsible for working with multiple stakeholders to develop, qualify and provide ongoing technical support of cleanrooms, sterilization, and shipping processes to maintain operational excellence. The role provides the opportunity to tackle diverse technical subjects both internally within ADC and in conjunction with our third-party manufacturing and contract service providers. The role is ideally suited to an individual with excellent abilities to rapidly learn technical disciplines on the job and who relishes the challenge this brings.
Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products or process, for current programs, next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.
Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology.
Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
Develops knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization and applies this knowledge in leadership roles in the company.
Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion.
Understands the business needs of the company, and has knowledge of the customer needs of our business.
Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Advanced degree preferred. Wide knowledge and application of technical principles, practices, and procedures. Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Has a sound knowledge of various technical alternatives and their impact. Highly experienced mechanical engineer. Preferably experience with high complex automation equipment, for example IMA, Sortimat, Mikron etc. May either come from machine building background or in manufacturing sector with experience of bringing automation lines from start up to full efficiency.
