PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:
Responsible for managing and executing marketing strategies and tactics including marketing programs, support packaging design, advertising and consumer promotion programs to effectively support commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives for a leading brand in a complex category. Additional responsibilities include program analysis, budget tracking, and project management.
Evaluate marketing programs to ensure that they are consistent with brand strategy and develop recommendations for new programs.
Lead cross-functional project teams focused on execution of programs, initiatives and/or strategies.
Track and analyze budget expenditures for your area of responsibility.
Manage and coordinate internal marketing research and market claims testing and data analysis including use of retail data services such as Nielsen.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups may include: external customers and consumers, Field Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Logistics, Public Affairs, Marketing and Executive Management and external vendors or agencies.
1-3 years progressive experience in consumer packaged goods and/or over-the-counter health care products industry. Having healthcare expertise and a passion to improve lives is a plus.
Previous experience with CRM management and/or digital/social marketing preferred.
Demonstrated leadership ability and success in project management
Capable of understanding complex category/marketplace, including marketing to key influencers
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly, concisely and confidently articulate strategies to a diverse audience of external partners, peers, and senior leadership
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives. Willing to support others and share best-practices
Strong analytical skills, including business and financial analysis, with the skills to develop and defend an empirically-based recommendation and tell a concise story using complex data
Capable of successfully managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Resourceful marketer with the independence to find solutions to business problems and then act on them in order to drive results
