Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:
The Facilities Maintenance Department function is to provide outstanding customer service to the manufacturing and support groups through the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant infrastructure systems. This will be executed as to enable the safe, efficient and economical conduct of business in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
To maintain and improve plant building and grounds including but not limited to the following: HVAC systems, Plant utility distribution systems including water, pneumatic and steam piping and delivery, floor, wall and ceiling surfaces, roofs, sewer systems, doors, plant fleet vehicles, lawn care and snow removal. Must be able to work from heights and ladders.
Perform maintenance of all types of painted surfaces and have the knowledge to use spraying equipment, airless sprayers, brushes and rollers.
Perform various exterior grounds maintenance for main plant and off-site warehouse. This includes but not limited to yard work, mowing, roof clean up, snow removal and landscaping work. These jobs require the operation of power mowers, ladders and snow blowers.
Perform various types of repairs to doors (sliders, overhead doors, fire doors), ceilings and windows. Work includes caulking, re-screening, refinishing and mechanical repairs.
Perform facility PM’s which include fire system inspections and various utility distribution systems.
Perform miscellaneous plumbing repairs throughout the plant on showers, sinks, restrooms and water fountains.
Capable of performing carpentry work in a neat manner.
Capable of performing masonry and cement work, such as laying brick or block or tile and repairing concrete in a neat manner.
Capable of performing minor electrical repairs such as lighting fixtures or switches.
Proficient in ability to read and interpret facility and infrastructure blue prints.
Able to work with and direct outside contractors in completion of tasks to ensure safety and compliance of work to meet GMP and FDA requirements.
Experience using Computerized Maintenance System for Preventive Maintenance work and follow up documentation.
Machines, Tools & Equipment (Hand Tools, Power Tools, Machines or Equipment)
Lawn tractor, snow blower, circular saw, table saw, drills, all hand tools, drain cleaning equipment, shear, box brake, lathe, mill, band saw, cutoff saw, drill press, welder, torch.

High School Diploma or GED and 2 or more years experience in Industrial Maintenance or Facility Maintenance
Knowledge and ability to work within USDA/ FDA regulated facility and knowledge of GMP standards. Customer service oriented self- starting individual able to work independently.
