Abbott Molecular has a new opening for Sr. Associate Medical Director located in Des Plaines, IL. This individual provides daily business operations support for Medical Affair issues related to product development, on market quality issues, compliance issues, commercial/marketing activities and customer interactions. Assists senior medical directors in being medical representative of ADD to external regulatory agencies and professional societies.

Core responsibilities include:

Develops draft medical opinions, medical platform documents and Health Hazard Assessments for review by medical directors. Provides initial medical input for promotional and commercial activities as requested. Serves as medical representative on Risk Evaluation teams. Assists investigation teams by providing medical input as needed. Responsible for updating medical affairs procedural documents and submitting change requests when needed. Provide medical support for MDR reporting when needed. Provides initial medical input for quality/regulatory customer communications, technical bulletins and quality directives. Assist the medical director with direct customer interactions as needed.

Education and experience requirements:

MD degree, 3 years experience , 1-2 years industry experience. Minimum 3 years experience in patient care. Strong device knowledge is necessary with diagnostics a preference. Sound understanding and experience in the full life cycle of product development, on-market support and compliance.
