Abbott IT Business Relationship Manager EMEA in Diegem, Belgium

We are recruiting an IT Business Relationship Manager EMEA for our Medical Devices, Commercial division.

As an IT Manager, you are responsible for the IT portfolio of solutions for the Division.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business and business processes of the unit, and ensure that IT solutions meet the needs of the business.

  • Understand and contribute to the business unit strategy and translates business strategy in an aligned IT strategy and portfolio of programs, projects and applications.

  • Ensure the portfolio enhances organizational strategy through successful, consistent and predictable delivery of programs, projects and applications.

  • Influence and partner with business leaders (General Manager, Vice-President, Director, Sr. Director Level) to manage and align the IT portfolio. Close collaboration with other parts of IT, adjacent business departments, and external partners to ensure adequate and timely delivery of agreed services, in line with agreed service levels.

  • Primary point of contact for overall IT needs the business unit. Responsible for prioritizing demand.

  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity to apply IT for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.

  • Understand the specific challenges and opportunities linked to the regulatory, legal, and economic situation of the business unit.

  • Partner and collaborate with key IT staff of other Abbott corporate and divisions in order to support cross divisional business initiatives, and explore IT synergies and efficiencies.

  • Manage initiatives that span virtual teams across the EMEA and globally, across cultures.

  • Resolve issues raised to IT and Business governance committees of projects and ensure projects stay in scope.

  • Assure applications, and digital marketing and online solutions consistently meet legal and regulatory compliance internally and externally.

  • May have direct or indirect team or functional area supervisory responsibility

Qualification and Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT experience in large or midsized multinational healthcare organization. Broad IT expertise in various disciplines like system development.

  • Experience in setting IT strategy and business IT alignment.

  • Good organizational skills, including program/project management governance.

  • Experience with GxP validation

  • Strong influence and negotiating skills.

  • Experience leading teams - both with direct staff and indirect project teams.

  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment

  • Is eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility

  • Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast-paced environment

  • Possess strong business acumen and interpersonal skills,

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Independent thinking and problem solving

  • Fluency in English. Additional language is a strong asset.
