We currently have a position for Disbursement Project Lead on a temporary contract basis.

Position Summary

The Regional Disbursement Project Lead supports the Regional Source to Pay (STP) Manager to deliver core STP projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the region, supported by Abbott’s 3rd party outsource service provider. Main areas of knowledge are: Disbursement, Accounts Payable (AP), Travel & Entertainment (T&E), Vendor Master Data and Help Desk.

The Regional Disbursement Project Lead is responsible to assure projects / process standards are implemented and sustained at the functional, regional, and in-country level. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all day-to-day project management activities associated with the above meet agreed upon service commitments to internal Abbott businesses and 3rd party outsourcer(s), and that processes are compliant with standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and controls across all countries, divisions and legal entities in the region.

Main Responsibilities include

Lead AP projects & drive continuous improvement initiatives across captive Regional Shared Services and the 3rd party outsourcer(s) supporting the regional AP and Vendor Master operations, including

  • Support Disbursement day-to-day operations, seeking for improvements and driving resolution

  • Report projects status, milestones and documentation updates

  • Drive Value Stream / Process Designing sessions

  • Ensure stakeholder engagement, reporting and communication.

  • the preparation of periodic (e.g. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annual) reports and other ad-hoc analyses needed to support reporting on financial performance/operating results

  • Regular calls with 3rd party outsourcer and stakeholders to collate Voice of the Customer and initiate new improvement initiatives.

  • Developing and Reviewing KPI/Metrics

Minimum Education

BA degree in Business, Accounting or relevant background

Minimum Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, preferably in Accounts Payables

  • Lean Six Sigma and/or Continuous Improvement experience

  • Project management and program implementation skills & experience required

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver standardization within a complex global organization

  • Knowledge in Compliance & Controls (SOX)

  • Previous Shared Services Experience desirable

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Travel & Entertainment best practices and solutions

  • SAP, Other non-SAP ERP experience desirable

  • Experience managing 3rd party outsource providers
