This senior level process Improvement role is responsible for the execution and ongoing management of business excellence initiatives. The role leads strategic, complex process improvement projects in conjunction with division goals and imperatives for increasing revenue, optimizing cycle time, reducing defect rates, and improving customer satisfaction. The role is accountable for delivering strategic results from the application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and effective change management.
Lead cross-functional teams in the development of products from concept to launch in programs that are complex and require the management of intra- and inter-company elements and relationships.
Leads strategic, complex process improvement projects in the division.
Delivers strategic results in conjunction with division goals and objectives.
Evaluates business processes and determines initiatives that will yield greater productivity and efficiency to enable growth.
Acts as a cross-functional change agent to drive and sustain measurable BPI for the division.
Act as mentor, role model and coach in the implementation of BEx best practices.
Lead cross-functional teams in the development of products from concept to launch. manages multiple, often concurrent projects / programs that are complex and require the management of intra- as well as inter-company elements and relationships.
Responsible and accountable for all aspects of a particular program including the determination of product requirements, facilitation of program planning, tracking program costs and schedules, updates and other communications to the program team and other stakeholders, and ensuring that the delivered product meets the customer's expectations for quality and functionality.
Analyze complex problems and identify areas of risk. mitigate program and execution risks through early risk assessments and implementation of mitigation strategies.
Responsible for ensuring completion of documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
Travel up to 30% of the time both domestically and internationally by any means necessary to support organizational goals.
Lead and act as a trusted advisor. balance bottom line objectives with long-term interests of the customer.
Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering, science or a closely related discipline is desired) or equivalent technical experience and demonstrated competence; an advanced degree (such as a Master's or MBA) is preferred; post-graduate education may contribute toward the desired years of experience; Typically requires 8+ years of experience in a complex, technical program / project management role to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position. Candidates / incumbents should possess the following: - skilled in effective leadership, planning, analysis and communication; - strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; demonstrated good judgment; - ability to be creative in achieving objectives while assuring compliance to internal and external requirements; - working knowledge of new product development methodologies; - ability to utilize commonly accepted project management tools to assist in the development of and adherence to a schedule; - ability or aptitude to work on problems that are complex in scope where analysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors; - ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior; - ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally; - ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software; - ability to prioritize.
