This position will report into the Transfusion Quality organization in the Data Analytics team contributing the following skills. Utilize technologies to collect; clean; analyze; predict; and effectively communicate information. Proactively contributes to multiple projects to support product and quality system monitoring tools and processes. Identifies and analyzes indicators or shifts in data from multiple sources. Works with key stakeholders to define reporting requirements.
Core Job Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Translates low to moderately complex user requirements into output reports and metrics.
Is able to obtain data from multiple systems and recommend appropriate tools; analysis algorithms and data visualization formats.
Uses statistical methodology and programming techniques to develop analytical tools.
Creates and executes defined protocols and/or performs peer review verifications of associated data and query methods; check data.
Applies moderately complex quantitative methods; analyzes data; evaluates results; forms conclusions and provides recommendations.
Exchanges information with product team members; scientists; engineers; service and product quality personnel. May work with IT to identify and develop solutions.
Stay current with Data Science Industry skills.
Position Accountability / Scope
Receives direction; as necessary; and provides input to moderately complex work details and assignments. Provides input to data gathering and data analytics techniques for moderately complex solutions. Assists with presentation of metrics and reports to the Transfusion team. Ability to provide advice to non-technical staff and work with other Abbott divisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence; Mathematics; Computer Science; Engineering or relevant fields.
Minimum Experience / Training Re quired
Masters in Data Science or 2-4 years’ work-related experience covering the following:
Education or experience programming with one of the following languages or equivalent (R, JAVA Script, C++, Python, etc.)
PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) spreadsheets, or other data analytic tools (R, SAS, SPSS, Minitab).
Education or experience with large scale database applications (Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Teradata, other).
Education or experience developing or programming with one of the following query languages: .SQL, SQL Plus, Java, or other.
Able to demonstrate knowledge of mathematics and statistics to solve moderately complex problems.
Able to demonstrate data visualization techniques to quickly identify and communicate issues.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI application and report writing (M Script)
