Abbott Diagnostics has a new opening for a Finance Manager, Strategic Projects & Initiatives. This leader will be responsible for all financial aspects of key corporate and divisional projects deemed critical to the success of Diagnostics. This role will deliver strong business partnership to key stakeholders both in finance and the business while leading the financial analysis, reporting, and tracking for various projects. This position will also lead the effort to generate new forward-looking insights and metrics using new data sources and analysis.
Core Job Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for continuing to build enhanced divisional reporting incorporating competitive data inputs, market analysis, and previously untapped data sources. The goal is to expand the types of insights and conclusions FP&A can deliver to senior leaders.
Manage overall divisional cash flow initiatives. Act as the liaison between corporate FP&A and business leaders in operations, commercial, and R&D and drive analysis to improve working capital efficiency
Lead divisional project management, corporate projects, and ad hoc divisional initiatives while delivering best-in-class financial support. Act as a project manager on larger scale projects spanning across multiple finance organizations to ensure coordinated progress toward project objectives.
Prepare various management presentations, financial modeling, financial analyses, and related consultation to senior divisional management to enable planning and achievement of short and long term financial objectives.
Evaluate key existing processes and present opportunities to improve and drive greater team efficiency. Propose enhancements to existing processes and new tools to help better measure the business and key success factors for the division.
Bachelors degree, preferably in finance/accounting.
CPA or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business highly desired.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
6+ years of finance experience
Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
Knowledge of planning, reporting, and consolidation systems.
Strong ability to meet deadlines and great attention to detail.
Successful history of building/fostering relationships with key functional stakeholders.
