Summary:

As a key member of the ADD Division Global Ops Project Management Office, manage multiple large projects or small portfolio of medium projects using Project Management Body of Knowledge principles. PMP certification is a plus.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.

Major Responsibilities:

Manage multiple large projects or small portfolio of medium projects using Project Management Body of Knowledge principles. PMP certification is a plus.

Lead the team through the translation of management and customer needs into project goals. Define schedules, milestones, cost and resource requirements with management support. Develop implementation plans; conduct risk assessments; and develop and implement contingency plan to accommodate unforeseen events.

Coordinate input from multiple areas on related projects, negotiate project outcomes and deliverables to meet the conflicting demands of time, money and deadlines.

Monitor actual vs planned variances/expenditures.

Implement process improvements to accelerate current and future project progress.

Level load work to ensure effective use of available resources.

Position Accountability / Scope

Accountable for the successful completion of project tasks on time and within budget.

Accountable for managing resources (direct and matrix) assigned to project regarding project tasks. Resources could be up to 5-7 team members from different operations and technical functions. Includes mentoring and providing feedback within a team and across other groups.

Reports to Program Manager (depending on project complexity; project impact and program organizational structure).

Minimum Education

Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.

Bachelor degree in a discipline appropriate to the project environment. Degree in a technical or scientific

discipline or equivalent experience relevant to the project arena preferred. Advanced degree; Project

Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification considered a plus.

Minimum Experience / Training Required

Minimum of 5 years project management experience (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience leading projects involving the application of general business principles. Demonstrated ability to work in a

large/complex company environment preferred. Technical, manufacturing, quality, or supply chain experience in a health care/medical company considered a plus.
