In this exciting and rewarding role based at our Macquarie park office, you would be supporting a commercial operation with annual sales of $60 million; by providing financial analysis and support to business on strategic planning, annual and quarterly budget planning, forecasting, performance monitoring and variance analysis and, also ensuring accurate and complete information to minimize financial risk to the company
The main aspects of this role include:
Review and co-ordination of the monthly accounts and P&L consolidation and management
Develop prelim P&L with recommendation on SG&A movement and all financial impact
Prepare monthly sales and profit and loss performance and provide commentary
Establish, develop and implement appropriate procedures to ensure that the planning process provides an efficient and effective tool for affiliate’s management
Develop and co-ordinate the planning timeline, calendar, and process working closely with Finance team and local entity level partners
Ensure entry and submission of all plan and forecast deliverables in a timely and accurate manner
Collaborate with other functions on monthly sales and volume forecast
Prepare and enter Latest Best Estimates (LBE) in system and compile the reporting decks for each submission.
Develop and provide analysis to explain the MTD, QTD and full year variances and perform trend/pattern analysis as needed
Provide financial expertise in evaluating and identifying the key issues and gaps in business performance and emerging business needs, deliver analyses that provides a foundation for management understanding and action (e.g., impact of new product launches, product end of life, and account level profitability)
Improve the financial insight and support to nonfinancial management staff through product life cycle management, margin impact assessment and informed business unit decision making
Co-ordinate and review document submissions for internal and external audits
Coordinate the annual Standard Cost development, including analysis and cost change reconciliation for year on year impact for management review
Provide oversight and controls for the monthly accounting close process, including appropriate expense accruals plus review of actuals versus plan to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly financial information
Review monthly departmental expense tracking for actuals vs Plan/LBE benchmark to assure compliance with budget and targets
Lead and manage team of Financial and Commercial Analysts
What would make you a successful candidate for this role:
Minimum Background/ Experience Required
Seasoned professional with more than 8 years of financial analysis experience including full P&L management
Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems
Experience in complete planning processes
Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting
Advanced Excel skills
Team Management experience
Minimum Education Required
BS or BA in Accounting, Finance
Financial experience in a healthcare industry
Experience with Dodeca, Essbase, SAP will be beneficial
