Abbott are currently looking for a Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manager UK & Canada to be based in Maidenhead. This role will have 1 direct report and will be responsible for setting the general C&B strategy in the UK and Canada.

As C&B Manager core job responsibilities are:

  • Setting C&B strategy and philosophy in the UK and Canada

  • Design and administer benefits programs (Health & Welfare, Wellness) in the country and support of negotiations with works council, unions or other employee organizations

  • Manage 3rd parties, e.g. insurance companies and brokers

  • Design, communicate and implement (total) compensation programs, systems and incentive schemes within the country

  • Design and consolidate compensation structures and merit guidelines together with the Area Practice Center

  • Communicate, roll-out and administer major global C&B programs (e.g. ESPP, LTI, etc), conduct adjustments according to local legislation and provide appropriate training

  • Drive key compensation processes

  • HR System set-up (merit; bonus, eligibility rules)

  • Coordinate M&A activities in country

  • Create and/or participate in C&B networks with a focus on Healthcare companies to establish effective contacts.

  • Participation in the country HR leadership staff

Required Education & Experience

  • Degree Qualified

  • Good experience leading or coordinating a C&B position

  • Excellent Knowledge in Social Insurance and Tax Legislation

  • Good analytical skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Good knowledge of local labour law

  • Strong communication skills

  • Workday experience highly desirable
